Easy recipe for Frozen Tiramisu. Tiramisu is a
popular coffee-flavoured Italian dessert. It is made of ladyfingers dipped in
coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of egg yolks, egg whites, sugar and
mascarpone cheese, flavoured with cocoa. Very suitable and delicious for
dessert at any occasions.
Ingredients :
- 1 tablespoon instant espresso coffee powder
- 1 cup hot water
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup caster sugar
- 500g mascarpone cheese
- 2 tablespoons KahlĂșa Mocha liqueur
- 10 sponge finger biscuits
- Dark chocolate curls (see tip), to serve.
Directions :
- Grease a 6.5cm-deep, 12.5cm x 20cm (base) loaf pan. Line base and sides with baking paper, leaving a 5cm overhang at long ends.
- Combine coffee and hot water in a shallow dish. Stir to dissolve coffee. Set aside to cool.
- Meanwhile, using an electric mixer, beat egg yolks and sugar for 5 minutes or until pale and creamy. Add mascarpone and liqueur. Beat on low speed until just combined (don’t overmix).
- Spread one-third mascarpone mixture over base of prepared pan. Dip 5 biscuits, 1 at a time, into coffee mixture, turning to coat. Place, in a single layer, over mascarpone mixture. Repeat layers, finishing with remaining mascarpone mixture. Cover surface with plastic wrap. Cover with foil. Freeze overnight or until firm.
- Soften at room temperature for 5 minutes before turning out onto a plate. Top with chocolate curls. Serve for 8 dishes.
That’s all folks, I hope this easy recipe useful…. Happy cooking J
